Guests staying at Abhainn Ri can enjoy the wonderful experience of visiting our farm animals and taking some of our nature trails.
Welcome to Abhainn Rí overlooking the Kings River valley and surrounded by the tranquil Wicklow mountains. Abhainn Ri farm has remained our family home for several generations and has traditionally been a cattle and sheep farm with pigs from time to time and some root crops and corn.
We diversified from farming into agri-tourism in 2002 when we built the self catering cottages over time we saw the opportunity to look at our lives and the farm in a completely new way. We began to see the beauty of everyday things. We found comfort, healing, calmness, peace and contentment surrounded by the natural beauty and abundance of birds and wildlife.
It was with this gratitude and mindfulness inspiration we decided to share our nature and mindfulness with our guests. We were inspired to make the farm into a parkland where you can ramble undisturbed along our looped trails through the meadows and by the streams. You will encounter birds and wild life in their natural environment. You will meet our friendly horses, ponies, donkeys and goats. All along the way we have hand painted mindfulness phrases for you to enjoy. The walks are looped and bring you to all the beauty spots on the farm and returning to your starting point.
We hope our animals, trails and beautiful location will give you the peace and contentment it gives us. Our wish is that you enjoy the beauty of everyday things at Abhainn Ri and return home rested and recharged.

Nature Trails
Guests staying a Abhainn Ri can take the nature trail walk to the lake shore and along the trails through the meadows visit the natural habitat of all the wild animals on the farm. Nature trails designed to take you through the mowed meadow along the way visiting wild habitat.
